Richfield Realized: Virtual Strategic Plan Feedback Session

Hello RPS Students, Families, Staff and Community,

As you may recall, we have been working to create a new strategic plan for Richfield Public Schools, which we are calling Richfield Realized. We started this process almost a year ago, with hundreds of students, staff, families and community members providing input through a series of in-person meetings and online forms.

We have synthesized all the feedback you provided and we have been seeking comments on the plan draft for the past few weeks. If you have already reviewed the draft and shared your thoughts, thank you! If you have not yet had the opportunity to provide feedback, there are two options:

  1. Attend the community meeting we are hosting via Google Meet on Tuesday, November 17, at 4:30 p.m. Please pre-register to receive the Google Meet link for the meeting.
  2. Review the plan and provide feedback online. You can also review the presentation video from the October community meeting.

We hope you like the draft plan. Our team worked very hard to incorporate all the feedback you provided and to create something that will lead us in the right direction for the next five years with a focus on equity, expanding school offerings, and better enRichfield Realized: Virtual Strategic Plan Feedback Sessiongaging our students, families and community.

Sincerely,

Superintendent Steven Unowsky

COVID-19 Update: May 2021

As you may have heard in Governor Walz’s announcement this week, he is loosening restrictions related to COVID-19 effective Memorial Day weekend. While this is good news, we want to remind you that the pandemic is not over and case rates continue to be high in Hennepin County. Please continue to follow best practices like regularly washing your hands, staying home when you are sick, etc. Here is additional guidance from the State of Minnesota.

What We Stand For

The civil rights movement is not a chapter in History class. It is here and it is now. As educators, it is our job to support and empower students through these challenging times. Please read our statement on where we stand as a district.

Hate Has No Place Here

In Richfield Public Schools, we pride ourselves on our open, welcoming community. We want every student, family and staff member to feel supported and valued.
