Student Technology Collection

We are collecting all school-issued technology between June 2-9. This includes:

  • Chromebooks
  • Cords
  • Snap-on cases
  • Wireless hotspots (including case and cord) 
  • We will NOT be collecting soft sleeve cases. Those are yours to keep. 

The collection window for students who attend class in-person is June 2-9 and the collection window for students in distance learning is June 8-9.

Please return all devices to your child’s school using the following schedule. If you are not able to return the items to your child’s school, you can turn them in at your closest geographical school.

Families will receive detailed information on device collection from their child’s school. If you have any questions, please contact the school directly.

Central Education Center

  • Central students should bring their devices to school by student backpack beginning May 27. 

Centennial Elementary School

  • In-person students
    • June 2 - Kindergarten and 1st grade
    • June 4 - 2nd and 3rd grade
    • June 7 - 4th and 5th grade
  • Distance learning students
    • June 8 from 3-7 p.m. 
    • June 9 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. 

Richfield College Experience Program

  • In-person students: June 7-8
  • Distance learning students: June 7-11
  • Students enrolled in the RCEP summer program will be allowed to keep their devices. Those devices will be collected July 1-2.

Richfield Dual Language School

  • In-person students
    • June 2 - Kindergarten 
    • June 3 - 1st and 2nd grade
    • June 4 - 3rd grade 
    • June 7 - 4th and 5th grade
  • Distance learning students
    • Families can bring devices anytime during collection hours. This is not a drive-up service. You will need to bring the devices to the collection table located inside the RDLS entrance. 
      • June 8 from 8:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m. and 3:15-7 p.m.
      • June 9 from 8:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m.

Richfield High School

  • Any student who has completed their course work as of Friday, June 4, will turn in their Chromebooks and materials to their AIR Pod teacher at a specially scheduled advisory period.
  • Students who have kept Chromebooks, textbooks and other school supplies for completing coursework must turn in these items at the media center during school hours no later than Tuesday, June 8 at 3:30 p.m.
  • Distance learners who have completed all their work must return their Chromebooks, textbooks and other school supplies at the media center on the following dates:
    • 9th grade, June 7 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
    • 10th grade, June 7 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
    • 11th grade, June 8 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
    • 12th grade, June 8 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.
    • Any remaining students, June 9 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Students will also use this schedule to turn in textbooks, library books and any other school supplies that need to be returned. 

Richfield Middle School

  • In-person students
    • June 7-8, collected during Social Studies
    • Students who need devices for summative retakes may keep until the end of the day June 8 at the latest
  • Distance learning students
    • June 8 from 2-6:30 p.m. outside the main entrance

Richfield STEM Elementary

  • In-person students will return devices the week of June 2.
  • Distance learning students can drop off devices on June 8 from 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

Sheridan Hills Elementary

  • In-person students
    • June 3 - Kindergarten in the morning, 1st grade in the afternoon
    • June 4 - 2nd grade in the morning
    • June 7 - 3rd grade in the morning, 4th grade in the afternoon
    • June 8 - 5th grade, 
  • Distance learning students
    • June 8 from 3-6 p.m.
    • June 9 from 8:30 a.m.-noon

The Minnesota Department of Education released the 2023 graduation rates. We are excited to share that we have made consistent gains in many areas and that Richfield High School’s four-year graduation rate (94.1%) exceeds the statewide graduation rate of 83.3% by 10.8 percentage points. 

Empty Bowls Fundraiser: You're Invited
