Twin Cities Pride Recap

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Twin Cities Pride Festival this year! It was an incredible experience that filled our hearts with joy and gratitude. We had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful individuals who share our commitment to celebrating diversity and promoting acceptance for all.

From alumni and current students, families and community members, to our awesome staff and other vendors, we were so excited to talk with each person throughout the course of our weekend and hear their messages of support for our students. We want to send a sincere thank you to our staff and alumni who volunteered their time to staff our tent, as well. We couldn’t have done it without you!

The banner that was created by visitors to our Pride booth was the highlight of our weekend. We actually ran out of fabric strips four separate times, sending our event team scrambling to the nearest craft stores! We didn’t expect such an enthusiastic and meaningful response from everyone who visited our booth. The end result left us with a banner so long and heavy, we thought it was going to take the tent down with it! We can’t wait to display these messages of support for our students when they return to school in the fall.

We will see you next year!

Graduation Caps

The Minnesota Department of Education released the 2022 graduation rates. We are excited to share that we have made consistent gains in many areas and that Richfield High School’s four-year graduation rate (88.9%) exceeds the statewide graduation rate of 83.6% by 5.3 percentage points.
