“Angel has been my T.A. in a French 1 class all year and he is so helpful and makes the class of mostly freshmen feel welcomed,” says Madame Steele. “He helps answer questions and encourages their work while being a role model with his leadership skills and grades. Since he was in ninth grade, Angel has been vital in creating community in our classroom and bringing laughter to every class."

“Madalyn is a gem of a human,” says RHS teacher and cheer coach Laurie Seibert. “She is caring, compassionate, detail-oriented and focused on helping others be the best they can be. I loved having her as a cheer captain her senior year, and I loved having her as my student aide every day of spring semester. She has a light that shines very bright.”

“But it's not just Aaron’s talent that shines," said media specialist Melissa Glavas. "He's been so generous with his time in the studio. He's helped many students get started with the equipment and acted as a producer for others. I'm grateful for Aaron’s kindness in helping to make our new recording studio accessible to so many of his peers.”

“I've had the pleasure of knowing Morgan since ninth grade,” says math teacher Laurie Seibert. “She is an absolutely incredible human: smart, kind, driven and has a beautiful soul. She is a dedicated and thoughtful person, who I was lucky enough to have in my presence each day of her senior year, when she was my student aide. I am very grateful to have maintained a connection with her through all four years of her high school experience! She brings me such joy.”

“Holland has been an outstanding leader for our program and will be the Drum Major for the Marching Spartans this summer,” says band director Chad Armbruster. “Holland has invited students to join the group and provides encouragement to help all students feel welcome and valued in our band program.

“Jonathan is a happy, silly student,” says RCEP administrative assistant Evelyn Campos. “When he comes in the door he makes me smile with his jokes. He is very kind to others, when he orders food he shares with his peers.

During her time at RHS, senior Lisa Le-Tam has volunteered with the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota through their Cooking Club (held at RHS), the RHS Boys Tennis Team and as the Family and Consumer Sciences T.A. “Lisa has gone above and beyond with her volunteerism at RHS,” says Family and Consumer Sciences teacher Jennifer Lewis.

“I’ve had the joy of teaching Ejnar for three years,” said Madame Steele, RHS French teacher. “He’s joyful, empathetic, kind, bright and an incredible leader. As a basketball captain this year, I watched him check on his teammates and younger players to encourage them to get to class, work hard and be leaders themselves.

Sophia has excelled in the classroom, as well as outside of it. “I like being able to challenge myself in classes,” she says. “It’s always been a goal of mine to maintain good grades and I think it makes me work harder when there’s something I don’t understand. When it comes to school, I really appreciate the way it’s helped me grow both personally and academically."

Proactive, approachable and diligent are three words that senior Bryan Herron would use to describe himself. One of his teachers, Karah Holle, agrees. “Bryan has a confident, friendly and contagious attitude. He's polite and kind. I look forward to seeing him every day!”

“Leslie can be quiet in class, but don't be fooled. She is a fearless leader. She steps up and helps other students and is even able to do so bilingually,” says her teacher, Ms. Toedter. “Leslie is an extremely hard worker and is never afraid to ask questions to further her learning. It is apparent that she cares deeply for others, and she is always kind and helpful inside and outside of the classroom.

“Jaedyn is well-known around the school and has a smile that can brighten any room he walks into,” says Zach Hanson, Jaedyn’s math teacher at RHS. “He brings positivity and a strong work ethic to everything he does and works hard to ensure he is meeting the high standards he sets for himself.”
