Graduation Information

Graduation will again be held in Spartan Stadium this year at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 9. In the event of rain, we will relocate the ceremony to the gym. We hope to be able to make an announcement confirming the location the morning of June 8. More information will be coming soon regarding graduation ticketing and end-of-year events for our senior class via our newsletter and website. We look forward to joining you in celebration of the class of 2023!

Graduation Schedule

  • 6:15 p.m. - The entry gates will open for seating. Seniors arrive to prepare for the ceremony. 
  • 6:45 p.m. - All guests should be seated. Please plan to arrive early, as you may need to park a distance away. 
  • 6:55 p.m. - The graduates will line up for the processional. No guests will be allowed into the stadium or gymnasium until the procession has ended and the National Anthem has been sung. Guests who arrive after 6:55 p.m. will have to wait outside the gates until this time. 
  • 7 p.m. - The RHS graduation ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. sharp.

Tickets

  • Each graduating senior is allowed ten guest tickets for the Richfield football field. There is no charge for graduation tickets. 
  • Guests will enter the stadium from the southwest gate only. 
  • In the event of inclement weather, each graduating senior is allowed two guest tickets for the RHS gymnasium. 
  • Guests will enter the gym from the southeast gymnasium doors (Door 9) only.
  • If students do not need all of their assigned tickets they may give them to other students needing tickets for additional guests. 
  • Should you have a family member who uses a wheelchair, walker or cannot take stairs, please request seating accommodation by contacting Teresa Rosen at Teresa.Rosen@rpsmn.org.
  • Guests must have their tickets with them at the ceremony to be allowed into the stadium/gym, this includes children. 
  • Ticket takers will be located at all entrances. Please be sure to distribute tickets to your guests in advance so that all family members attending have their tickets with them.
  • Students will receive their guest tickets when graduation caps and gowns are distributed at school on June 2.

Important Dates for Seniors: 

  • June 2: Final day for teachers to administer summative assessments. Senior Cap & Gown and graduation ticket distribution.
  • June 5: Final school day for seniors. 
  • June 6: Make-up day for missed assessments. Students with extreme extenuating circumstances can work directly with the senior counselor for any extension of this deadline.
  • June 9:
    • 12 p.m. Senior Picnic at Augsburg Park. 
    • 1-3 p.m. Graduation Rehearsal - Attendance is required to participate in the graduation ceremony. 
    • 6:15 p.m. Students arrive at RHS to prepare for the ceremony. 
    • 7 p.m. Graduation ceremony. 
    • 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Senior All-Night Party.
